    Fire Safety Week

    The week of October 6 - 10 is fire safety week. This year's theme is "Home Safety" We plan on giving presentations at the Fordland Schools as well as Headstarts and Daycare Centers. Anyone interested in helping out please contact 334.



    End of Year Photos

    We need photos for the end of year slide show. Anyone with firefighter photos from this year please get copies to 312.



    NIMS Online

    Anyone who has yet to complete the minimum NIMS requirements needs to do so as soon as possible. All firefighters need to complete a minimum of NIMS IS 100 and IS 700. We would also encourage the completion of IS 200 and IS 800A. All of these courses can be taken free of charge online. Follow the provided link to the NIMS online training site. Future government grants will require that we have these courses. If you need assistance with this online program contact anyone from the training division for help.

    Anyone interested in taking technical rescue training needs to contact Lt 1. I am currently looking into bringing "Introduction to Technical Rescue", "Rope Rescue Technician", "Farm Machine Rescue" and "Confined Space Rescue Technician" to the district in the upcoming year.
